The Red Cross Standard First Aid course is a two-day-long training that introduces workers and homeowners advanced principles and techniques in a more in-depth content program.

This program includes all the knowledge acquired on the Emergency First Aid course, however it is specially intended to those who wish to expand their skills at attending intrincates injuries in situations that compromise the well-being of people in both low and high-risk environments.

The course, aimed at all types of industries and open to everyone at the community, also covers first aid treatment to kids and adults, making it a perfect program for parents and school workers, as well.

Attendants will learn how to carefully treat diverse types of wounds, spine musculoskeletal injuries, heat and cold injuries, seizures, poisonings and head traumatisms. Attendants will also understand the causes of stress in the middle of all kinds of high-risk situations.

Through the theorical classes and practical examples, our dedicated instructors will teach how to use cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to handle an AED (defibrillator) in an engaging training session with manikins.

The practical exercises are designed to help students to identify what to do and the best techniques in planned scenarios. With this goal-driven learning process, the candidates will be able to take the right decisions in order to preserve the health and well-being of patients while they wait for a definitive medical assistance.
